ENROLLMENT IS UP > We have had an explosion of enrollments; five schools with 23-38 children each and the bus only holds 22!!! However, we promise no scholar will be turned away!
MORE KIDS THAN EVER BEFORE > Praise God that we have reached an all-time high of over 330 presently signed up (and that’s just as of “day one”). And let’s not forget this program is reaching children from 60% unchurched families.
GOAL: TO ADD LAST TWO SCHOOLS > We are currently at 21 of 23 Chino Valley elementary schools, and we hope (& pray) to be adding the last two schools in late January 2010. Please continue to lift this request up in prayer. Thank you!
MIDDLE SCHOOL “NEW WORK” > The Lord has put it on our hearts to advance this ministry to middle school where the teaching of God’s truth is desperately needed! As we all know, our children need God’s message of love, truth & hope to counter this overwhelming world. We will move into secondary education once we have acquired more funding to pay cash for a quality shuttle bus. Prayerfully, next year… 🙂
TEACHER TRAINING > Our program now incorporates more of an apologetic-type teaching with answers in Genesis Curriculum taught to substantiate and prove Bible truths.

Day one at Levi Dickey was a success! Though we have eleven students registered, we had seven on the bus as it sounds like parents are taking seriously the directive to keep sick kids home. We are a class full of first year students and all of them came in talking about how excited they had been in the days leading up. We had a fun time with the getting-to-know-you ball and the time flew by. I feel like I am bragging – our class gets an extra five minutes (!!) because we meet for the last hour of the school day and we released the kids directly to go home rather than having to walk them back to class. The impression I got from yesteday is that we have a bus full of expectation – both teachers and students.

We are so blessed and encouraged to see the Chino Valley Released Time program flourish. It has been through much prayer and much work of these faithful servants who have perservered, not giving up! We are praying for you and our program, too, in the greater Long Beach area as we bring God’s Word to public school students. The Lord has truly changed many lives through this ministry. Rejoicing with you and the great things He is doing in Chino Hills! Love your blog!

I thank the Lord for the first day at the Cal Aero Preserve, with the assistance of an awesome driver Robert. As I went into the office, I ask them to make the Release-time announcement which they gladly did!!! By the way, it was really great to hear Christian Education Release-time echo through the whole school.
The children came into the office all at once and gathered around me with great joy; it was a glorious site too see!! I felt the Lord’s presence with these precious children. It reminded me of Jesus, when all the children came to him.
To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:19

What an AMAZING day we had on Monday as we entered Howard Cattle Elementary and were met with 32 excited students (all pre-registered). We have four returning second year students with the remainder in their first year. Our hearts overflowed with joy at the enthusiasm expressed not only by our students but the parents we spoke with by phone reminding them of our first class. The students packed into seats and onto the floor of the Nose as with hearts and voices raised we gave praise to Jesus for the new year. Following our morning class at HC we headed to Country Springs Elementry where 11 of the 13 registered students waited in the office with great anticipation. Four of the 5 students who attended last year are returning; one is in her third year. We praise our Lord and Savior for the opportunity to serve through RTCE and have a part in building a solid foundation from God’s Word for our students to take into their world. As I read over the “All About Me” stories Monday evening, I was reminded of the amazing privilege and great responsibility we have as volunteers, in Sharing JESUS With The Next Generation. God’s Word says, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12. Great things are in store for RTCE this year and I believe God has granted us this window of time in which we must be diligent being about the work God has called us to accomplish.
GREAT NEWS! We are currently working on a project to eliminate poster board song sheets and cd music, moving up to the tv/dvd and computers for praise and worship and the Power Point visual teaching aids for our lessons. At this time we have acquired two used laptops for sending the PowerPoint words and lesson helps to the tv screen. If you or someone you know has a used laptop they would like to donate to RTCE, please contact me, Ginni at 909-721-8465. We would ask that the personal information be removed the computer prior to your donation. It has been such a blessing to see RTCE supporters step up and provide in this area. May God bless each of you for your support and prayers! What a Mighty God we serve!!

God is so good! Miss Robin and I have 2 schools, and both of us were praying for rain last Wed.! She lost her father-in-law on Sunday (which was expected) and had a host of other things going on, and I am still adjusting to being back at work after 20+ years at home. Then Gail called and said the bus had to go in for a repair. We thought it was taken care of!
But Gail called at 8:15 and the bus was all ready, and there was only minor drizzle, so we both did what we needed to and got to our schools. Robin taught on Adam and Eve and gave an awesome presentation of the gospel, our sin and need for a savior! The kids were very attentive and at BOTH sites, every hand went up to receive Jesus! Many are churched kids, but not all, so this was a very heartwarming sight!
We also have a couple of boys from last year that didn’t pay too much attention or participate, but this year they are sitting in the front, answering questions, begging to read the Bible out loud, and memorizing verses! God is faithful to take our meager offerings and do GREAT things! To God be all the glory!!!
